Hello and Welcome Sofanaut!

Greetings from the Captain!

Can I just say a massive thank you for joining the Sofanauts Premium Members club. It means a lot – it truly does. We are in for some grand times ahead and I have lots planned: video and audio interviews, panel discussions, stories, eStories, great cover art, freebies and so much more. This will be your first port of call once you board the ship.

This is the club house where we’ll chat and mingle, share stories and jokes. It will also be the place where you’ll hear first about all the ‘news’ and ‘content’ I’ll be making available. Just use the comments box below and join in… the water’s fine. I recommend joining the Sofanaut newsletter as well, just in case you miss something important. Josh has put that on the site… so nip on over there and sign up.

It’s my intention to always keep popping content in here and arranging ‘one off’ specials. Don’t worry if you can not make any of the live events… they will always be available after the event in the Members-Only Download Area. This will be the place to go to grab all that fantastic extra content. Get your Kindles and eReaders powered up – we’ve got some great stories coming your way. Speaking of which… why not pop over there after you have read this and grab all of StarShipSofa books and goodies or try one of our very own Dr. Amy H. Sturgis lectures!

I’ve also got lots of little freebies to give away over the coming months so look out for any news relating to freebies.

So… that’s it for introductions. You’ll find we are very formal around here. That is all…

Just a reminder… look out for our first live video interview with SF author David Brin – coming soon.

David A Kirby

This week’s guest is David A Kirby, a lecturer in Science Communication Studies at The University of Manchester. He has a great new book out called Lab Coats In Hollywood, a fascinating look at the relationship between Hollywood and the scientists.

Stefan Rudnicki

This week’s guest is undoubtedly one of the top narrators working today, Stefan Rudnicki. He has worked on such narrations as Orson Scott Card’s Enders Game and now has teamed up with the quite brilliant Lightspeed Magazine.

Dee Cunniffe

This week my guest is my very fine friend Dee Cunniffe. Dee is someone who has helped in many ways keep StarShipSofa new and exciting for me. He is also one of the best art designers I know.
